Sony QX10 and QX100 Turns iPhone & Android Into A DSLR

Rumors about the unique lens cameras from Sony have turned into a reality when the company has officially made it known to all that they’ll soon be available before the month ends. They’re not actually true cameras like point-and-shoot with complete controls and a display but a pair of lens that can be attached to a smartphone device or tablet. Each lensconnects to the device via a Wifi connectivity.

Sony’s entry into the world of cameras has not been widely publicized given the fact that business is generally focused on smartphones, tablets and a video gaming console. A user needs to power on the camera first once it is attached and configure the connectivity through the access point. When the Play Memories Mobile app starts to appear on the device, a user can start shooting and making the necessary adjustments to the controls such as the toggle and shutter release so that zooming and capturing images is even made more convenient and fun.
The cameras also have Memory Stick slots and microSDs for saving images if connection with a tablet or smartphone is not available. The first model is DSC-QX10 which has a compact 10x optic with 18.2Mp and is referred to as the “high-zoom”, while the second is the QX100 with a 20.2-Mp sensor and is good for “quality” focus. The QX10 sells for $249 while the QX1 sells for $750.

Turns iPhone Into A Microscope with micro phone lens

Turning your iPhone into a microscope isn’t fun if there is no practical use for it unless you a science wizard or just curious about things not clearly visible to your eyes. In the latter case, the Micro Phone Lens can help in making the iPhone act like a portable microphone. The phone’s camera needs to be at 5 megapixels for this lens to work properly which sticks directly on the built-in lens of the smartphone. Once the lens is in place, it can readily zoom and magnify objects 15x at high focus.
But we’ll have to wait for a while since it creator is still finalizing the Kickstarter campaign for his project even though the goal amount of $5,000 has already been breached in just one day. Those who contributed $15 and above are set to receive the lends and the accompanying carrying case. Thomas Larson, the creator, hopes to release a similar lens with a 150X magnification in the future to assist those who may be preoccupied with healthcare in distant places such as the developing world.
The campaign is just a warm up for that 150X goal but even then, the Micro Phone Lens is set to receive a positive response from iPhone users because of its unique functionality of magnifying an object. However, the lens is not confined to iPhone only but also includes Android devices with cameras having 5 megapixels.

Amazing Phone The Kambala

AMAZING kambala_phoneDon’t get so confused, the Kambala is a mobile phone that transforms to a earphone as well. Pop the center piece and the earpiece clip pings out; clip this to your ear, and you got a phone-earphone! Multilayered Polymer which hosts all the electronic components is used in its construction. A continuous flexi-screen with plenty of sensors makeup the surface and it has the ability to transmit the image on the inside of the phone to the outside. It even does a chameleon act by blending in with your skin tone when you clip it to your ear.

A coffee table that is also a 32 inch touchscreen

Coffee tables are more often than not nothing more than just a great place to place your beverages, snacks, magazines and occasionally, your legs. Here’s a coffee table you probably wouldn’t want to spill a hot coffee on. Made from wood, this one’s low-slung and is just like every other coffee table, except the fact that it sports a fully functional Windows 8 computer with a 32-inch touch screen! Perfect for the computer-nerd who loves staying in touch with his computing world, even while enjoying a hot cuppa’, this table is ideal for watching videos, interacting with maps or simply playing a game.

The table sports an antiglare LCD screen that essentially is an enlarged tablet. With a 1366 x 768 resolution, this screen is capable of offering sharp images in any type of lighting and can also be viewed from nearly every angle. A tempered-glass surface keeps the LCD screens safe, even in the case of splashes and spills, though we’d still suggest you be a little more careful than usual. The computer packs an Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz processor, 6 GB of memory, 500 GB hard drive, and is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled. This coffee-table-tablet-computer come with a price tag of $7,000 and measures 48″ L x 30″ W x 18″ D.
