Twitch Bans PS4 Playroom For Nude Shows, Non-Gaming Related Activity

PlayStation 4, a built-in camera, a Playroom pre-installed app and an account on Twitch is all you needto start streaming, recording and broadcasting anything you can think of including nude and horrifying scenes. That’s before non-game-related streaming gets banned from Twitch after failing to comply with theterms of service of the latter. A couple had once use the streaming service to record the nudity of his wife in front of a camera.
That video lasted for 15 minutes and by the time it was finished, the woman was completely naked. While it is not yet certain whether the Twitch video-streaming site has a membership complement composed of minors, the Twitch could have served only the adults if it chooses to. The latest “scandal”-like scenario seemed to have alerted the Twitch developers about the possible violation of its online terms and condition. It moved finally to ban the couple from Twitch and to disallow uploads that are not game-related.
This could be the first case for Twitch who has publicly announced the temporary banning of non-game-relatedcontents until such time that users become responsible enough to comply with the site’s terms of conditions or mature enough to handle their streaming account with Twitch. Until such time comes, Twitch is currently monitoring users’ activities online to exercise its right to suspend user’s account whenever there is continued violation of the terms.
