Nokia Lumia 1520 Phablet Is Real, Specs Downgraded (Rumor)

Nokia is not yet through with its Lumia line and this is made more apparent with the public exposure of it extra-large smartphone, the Lumia 1520, also to be the first in that category among the Lumia line. However, everything under the hood is a product of mere speculations for now such as a quad-coreprocessor, Windows 8 functionality and a 20-megapixel camera.

A similar device was spotted last July showing the same bezel and the prototype stamp which can be found in every Nokia units up for testing. The leaked image shows an enlarged display with the common Windows 9 tiles and thecontrol button(s) partly hidden below. No additional info for now but with the screen that size, the smartphone could get a lot of help from a quad-core processor and fast GPU and a lot of storage space.

The Lumia 1520 is expected to be introduced in late September together with a Nokia Windows tablet, but this is yet unconfirmed. Most Windows Phone 8 has an embedded OS with a graphical interface and is perfectly comfortable with multitasking, a feature common to the Lumia series. The large real estate, however, qualifies the unit in the phablet category. As this is just a rumor, price and availability are yet to be determined.
