LG G2 Android 4.4 KitKat Release Until Early 2014

While Nexus 5 owners are enjoying the latest Android platform in their handsets, current LG G2 users may have to wait until next year to get the KitKat update, according to LG Canada.
The disappointing news was revealed recently which specified that G2 owners should be able to get Android 4.4 by the first quarter of 2014 – until March. The official reason for the delay is still unknown as of this writing.
The LG flagship is currently running on a customized Android Jelly Bean suit which needs major overhaul. WhenAndroid 4.4 is officially installed, it is assumed to follow the same suit although G2 owners hope and pray that LG will sort out known UI issues upon releasing the customized Kitkat skin.
The new KitKat platform works well with low-memory devices with at least 512MB RAM and revamped features including streamlined interface that features camera shortcut, “now playing” content on the lock screen, a more improved navigation interface, updated dialer and Hangouts, support for wireless printing and third-party cloud storage, more improved battery life, paves the way for developers to create apps that support infrared control, hands-free voice search feature and an updated version of Google Now
It is also presumed that USA residents will also get the KitKat update at the same time as Canada, however, we cannot discount the fact that it may arrive earlier.
