MSI GT60 3K Display Gaming Laptop w/ Hefty Price

Hardcore gamers will appreciate MSI’s latest add-on to its laptop ensemble – the GT60 with 3K display. The Taiwanese tech company augments its previousgaming laptop series with updated specs and brilliantdisplay panel for immersive gameplay experience like no other. The new GT60 laptop will be available in two versions – gaming and workstation – with equally high-end hardware attributes and price tag.
First off is the gaming laptop version (2OD-261US) carrying a 15.6-inch WQHD display with 2880 x 1620 resolution (3K). Inside, it ispowered by the latest Intel Core i7 4700MQ clocked at 2.4 GHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M, 16GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM, 1TB HDD storage with 128GB SSD, Windows 8 OS, USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 ports, Blu-ray ROM, SD XC HC card reader, HDMI 1.4 ouput, 720p webcam, SteelSeries programmable backlit keyboards (similar to the previous models), Dynaudio speakers, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n and weighs a hefty 7.7 pounds.
On the other hand, the pricey GT60 workstation (2OKWS-278US) mimics the majority of specs found in its sibling except for: Nvidia Quadro K3100M graphics, Blue-ray burner drive and Windows 7 Professional OS. It is also capable of handling up to three external displays, perfect for artists and editors.
Apparently, price is also different for the two elite rigs with the gaming version setting you back $2,200 while the workstation is tagged at $2800. Both GT60 3K laptops are now available.
