A coffee brewer machine is a common sight inappliance stores anywhere and the familiar process of grinding and brewing takes place before your eyes before brewed coffee is finally served. Now a new kind of machine offers more than that, a Germany-based Bonaverde Coffee Changers has turned to Kickstarter for funding its roast-grind-brew coffee machine.
As to how the machine works, it basically does what an ordinary brewing does not-roasting fresh green beans until it turns dark for subsequent grinding. The final step of course is brewing the powdered beans for that delicious aroma-filled coffee. Roasting takes at least 3-4 minutes while grinding and brewing lasts between 12-14 minutes. There is an internal energy saving mechanism in that heat used in roasting is recycled during the final phases of coffee making.
The group has targeted the sum of $135,000 with a deadline set for December 8. However, this early the group has already raised $141,546 with 25 days to go before the deadline. The machine turns a user into coffee changer and farmers can directly sell their produce to him. Although the minimum pledge is set at $1, a pledge of $250 or more entitles one to a piece of the machine with an expected delivery date on October 2014.
