There are rumors that HTC One is getting a new successor by the name of HTC M8 and presupposing that the One is codenamed M7. This comes after the rumoured Butterfly 2 has settled down for butHTC’s 2014 lineup is surely wrapped in concealment with just less than two months before a new year sets in.
The M8 is said to contain a fingerprint reader similar to the one found in iPhone 5s but works in a different manner. This one will have the Sense 6.0 interface but a suspicious hole above the camera keeps everyone puzzled for the momentbut this could be the purported scanner that works as a fingerprint recognition sensor. As for the specs under the hood, the M8 will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and a RAM at 3Gb. There’s no actual screen size given and the only good guess is that it’s between 5 and 5.2’.
Unlike HTC One, the M8’s body goes beyond the edges whereas the One contains a break along the metal. Despite some setbacks, the One had a fine sales this year amidst falling demand for med-end devices. HTC is yet to confirm these facts and figures but one thing is sure, that a successor to HTC One is indeed coming sooner or later.
