Nvidia Tegra Note 7 With Direct Stylus Support Goes Official

Besides manufacturing top-tier desktop GPUs, Nvidia is also building its mobile inventory with top of the line ARM-based Tegra SoCs and devices. Two months ago, Nvidia introduced the reference design of its Tegra Note tablet to manufacturers including HP, XOLO, EVGA, PNY and Zotac which later on provided their own rendition of the slate.
Most of the models were identical except for HP’s Slate 7 Extreme which dons a custom design. Nevertheless, all devices have common  specs including a 7-inch display, 1280 x 800 resolution, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, quad-core Tegra 4 SoC (with Cortex A15 processor with 72-core GeForce GPU), 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, micro SD expansion card support, micro USB, micro HDMI, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi andBluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
The new Tegra Note 7 has a built-in stylus pen that differs from other models by having its own software-based stylus technology called DirectStylus. The technology utilizes the embedded Tegra 4 GPU and touch sensor to detect varying pressure produce by different inputs including stylus, finger or palm. This allows users to utilize low-cost passive pens to take notes or draw objects with extreme accuracy. The stylus pen launcher is enabled when the pen is taken out from the tablet.
Budget consumers will also be delighted to know that the new Tegra Note 7 tablet series will only cost $199 each and will be available in the US by November 12th. Afterwards, it will land in Europe for 149 Euros and the UK for 179 pounds.
