The low-cost Lumia 520 might be getting a successor, if this recent information will push through. Previously dubbed as “Glee”, the Nokia Lumia 525 was spotted on TENAA, China’s version of the FCC, fueling rumors that the handset will be released in the near future.
Windows Phone users are pleased with the Lumia 520 (hailed as the most popular Windows Phone worldwide according to one statistics firm) because of its affordable price and decent features. Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why the Finnish phone maker pushed on making the 525. As expected, the Lumia 525 has similar exterior design, almost identical, to the Lumia 520 including the main camera.
Specs listed are certainly not written on stone but apparently, the Lumia 525 might come with a WVGA display, dual-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB on-board RAM (a significant upgrade from Lumia 520′s 515MB memory), a 5-megapixel rear camera and will be marketed with the Nokia Music service. It is said to be available in several colorsincluding yellow, white and orange. A special set of headphones might also be custom-made for this handset.
Price and release date details are two of the biggest mysteries for the Nokia Lumia 525. There’s a high possibility that this handset will debut in China. Hopefully, we don’t have to wait very long.
