The Moto G is the latest offering from Motorola that will satisfy the needs of a low-cost smartphone user. Witha design similar to Moto X and with a Google OS inside, it is indeed a good bargain. Users can expect a fully functional smartphone in Moto G even if it’s the low-price range, which means not more than $200. It has a curved back, beautifully-adorned cases and uniquely-designed flip covers. No physical keys on front as they’re already built-in in the Android software.
Buttons for the volume and power are conveniently located at the right, the micro-USB port and the mic are both stationed at the bottom and the headphone jack and a secondary mic can be found on top. At the back, one can find the camera at 5MP, the speaker and Motorola logo sitting idly near each other. Its 720p display is equally impressive as that of Moto X and it is currently running Android 4.3 to be upgraded to KitKat by January 2014.
There’s no expandable storage and it comes in either 8GB or 16GB only which is quite a sacrifice given the reasonableprice tag. There’s no LTE radio either but a WiFi 802.11b/g/n is something to be proud of. For the rest of the hardware specs, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 is running inside at 1.2GHz with a RAM at 1GB. The Moto G sells for $179 (8GB) in an unlocked state while the 16GB model will cost you $199.
