BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9982 (Z10) Coming In Crocodile Suit

In spite of financial distress BlackBerry company is suffering at the moment, the Canadian tech company still managed to team up with Porsche to come up with Z10-inspired handsets dubbed P’9982. Only 500 units will be sold worldwide catering to hardcore BB fans and the rich.

All BlackBerry P’9982 handsets are uniquely designed to exude luxury from all angles. The handset exterior has satin finished framed with stainless steel and hand-wrapped Italian leather that comes in three different colors for the rear panel. Limited edition models with crocodile leather back panel will also be available. Each handset will have a unique PIN number to highlight its exclusivity from other models. The P’9982 inherits the power of BlackBerry 10 platform giving each model the iconic styling from Porsche design yet superb mobile experience.
Other accessories include custom-made stereo headset to complement to handset, polishing cloth, USB cable for data transfer and charging kit. The platform used is BlackBerry 10.2 with exclusive apps designed for Porsche Design customer including apps, games and videos. Other BB 10.2 OS highlights include BlackBerry Priority Hub that helps organize all your messages/conversations, BlackBerry Keyboard which learns to adapt on your typing method giving suggestions on-the-fly, BBM video with screen share, Camera Time Shift mode and BBM Now allowing you to reply instantly on message received without leaving the app you’re currently using.
Each BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9982 (with leather back panel) will cost £1500/ US$2400 when it becomes available starting November 21st at Harrods department store in London, UK. Meanwhile, the limited crocodile leather edition will be up for sale on December for still unannounced price tag. More details can be seen in the unboxing video.
