Lenovo’s Flex 14 and the Flex 15 models are getting a newer version and simply known as Flex 10. Like the other two, it has a 10-point touch display with a 10-inchdisplay (1366 x 768 resolution) but unlike them which is fitted with a Haswell inside, this one settles for a Celeron or a Bay Trail Pentium. It weighs approximately 1.2kgs. and its battery life is limited only to four hours. What’s good about the notebook is that it’s switchable between Stand and Laptop Modes.
The Stand mode can be used for chatting or watching video contents by flipping the screen 300 degrees. The multitouch display has been optimized for Windows 8.1 upgrade. Flex 10 is less than 1-inch thick (0.68-inch) despite the purported low price and is AccuType keyboard is generally designed for comfortable and convenient typing. For the rest of the specs, its stereo speakers are more than ideal for listening to audio contents both from music and video while the Multitouch Touchpad is always ready to serve the needs of Windows 8. The limited lifespan of its battery notwithstanding, Flex 10 makes use of the company’s Energy Manager to provide durability and energy saving between charging time.
Lenovo is yet to officially announce the price and availability of Flex 10 but word on the street has it that it will not go for more than $550. Stay tuned.
