Sony PS Vita TV Officially Unveiled At TGS 2013

Sony unveils its latest gaming products at the Tokyo Game Show event including the PlayStation 4, PS Vita 2000 and PS Vita TV.
The PS Vita TV had been on the news for weeks now intriguing most gadget lovers with its functionalities. Basically, the Vita TV is similar with the PS Vita console sans the screen. It is compact in size that almost mimics your smartphone. Underneath its hood is a PS Vita hardware that mirrors most of its functions which means that you can play thousands of Vita games with this box on your HDTV using PS3’s DualShock 3 controller.
It has a bevy of ports along its side including HDMI output, USB, Ethernet, power port and memory card slot. Another unique feature of the Vita TV is its ability to stream PS4 games acting as a secondary terminal. With this feature, gamers can play PS4 games remotely from another room. This remote play feature was demoed at TGS by Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida. Aside from gaming, the set-top box is also an entertainment system providing video-on-demand service from PlayStation Store or Hulu.
The basic package will retail for $100 while you could also get the Vita TV together with an 8GB memory card and controller for just $150. It will debut in Japan on November 14th while there still no details about US release.
