Factory Unlocked iPhone 5s Now Available Starting At $650

So, not all iPhone 5s come out in a locked state after all as Apple is now set to offer an unlocked version of one of the two iPhone 5’s latest models, the iPhone 5s. The company has featured in its site the price for each of the 16Gb, 32Gb and 64Gb versions of the iOS phone which is $649, $749 and $849, respectively.
The T-Mobile’s SIM-free version requires a GSM-compatible SIM which may be provided by the carrier in Magenta nano form. All versions work with a compatible SIM of course and in the US, one still needs to attach to a network carrier such as AT&T and T-Mobile of the device to work albeit in a contract-free environment. It’ll be good for anyone who hates contract but loves the Touch ID feature of the iPhone 5s and with a one-time fee, concern for the monthly payment is obliterated.
The other iPhone 5 model, iPhone 5c already has an unlocked and SIM free versions scattered around the world subject to a network carrier sponsorship obviously. The T-Mobile unlocked iPhone still requires the provided SIM card to be tied to an account under the network. Initially availability in the US, the unlocked iPhone 5s can be used around the world whenever a GSM network is available.
