Nokia has finally unveiled its first tablet know as Lumia 2520 which is quite a surprise because of the use of the Lumia brand name. This heralds the start of the tablet-making business for which Nokia is unknown for since the introduction of the company’s first smartphone more than a decade ago. It remains to be seen though whether lovers of tablet will be enticed with its looks and performance.
The Lumia 2520 tablet measures 10.1- inches and has an optional keyboard for tinkering with the pre-installed productivity suite Microsoft Office especially that it runs on Windows RT 8.1. We couldn’t tell for now what processor is running the device but we do know that it has an internal storage memory of 32GB and for the rest of the specifications, it has a rear camera at 6.7 MP has a f.19 aperture for images at low-light, a front-facing camera at 2 MP capable of playing video contents at high quality.
It has a dimension of 6.61 x 10.51 x 0.35 in and weights 1.36 lb. Exclusive and popular apps can be found including the “Dragons Adventure”, LiveSight, HERE Maps and a lot more from Nokia. The Nokia 2520 will be available in UK exclusively through John Lewis at a price of £400 and the optional keyboard is offered for another £150. To make full use of its different functionalities regarding data transmission a user needs to buy an EE or O2 SIM at 4G data-only. No word when it will land in the US.
